Amodeo accomplished what once said couldn't be done. His faith grew stronger each day as he got up to do exciting and important things. He had no real concern for money because his family secured stability, and that is all his wife expected. But, at the same time, he realized he was making life better for many people.
Amodeo still had a level of low self esteem, as the past embarrassed him. Some of the decisions he made were poor, in attempt to overcome the image. He wasn't feeling invincible, but he felt he would be successful. He was confident that the future would be alright, although he knew it would take a lot of work.
Pictured above is Amodeo at the White House, seated near President Bill Clinton. Amodeo met with the Director General of NATO and the President to discuss NATO's involvement in both Afghanistan and the coming Summit.
Amodeo was able to provide and finance emergency communications after Hurricane Katrina for 18 months. At the time, no other organization was able to produce this. First responders were then capable of sending and retrieving communications via these cell towers.
With a friend's assistance, he and Amodeo purchased a company. The secretary they dealt with had a prosthetic leg, and unfortunately it was not in decent shape. As Christmas was approaching, they personally bought a new leg for the woman, somebody they did not know.
The Pentagon had difficulty delivering soybean seeds to Afghanistan farmers, allowing them to switch from poppy and opium to something productive. Robert 'Bud' McFarlane (former national security advisor for Presidents Reagan & Ford) asked if Amodeo could help. Amodeo and the former military personnel at AQMI were successful in transporting and delivering the seeds to numerous farmers. To this day, most of those farmers are still producing a legitimate crop instead of a narcotic.
Amodeo seldom went on vacation. Although, when he did, it was usually a special event, such as a Masquerade Ball and Saturday Night Live invitation in New York City.
Amodeo's influence span across the globe. He was appreciated and well liked by citizens of the other countries he dealt with.
